Weylandts – Designer Furniture

Last Saturday with camera in hand I set off on a shopping expedition to Weylandts.  Weylandts is truly a beautiful store full of quality designer furniture and home wares located in Abbotsford, Victoria. The Art of Good Living is one of the core value of Weylandts and underpins the way the product is selected and combined.

Weylandts is South Africa’s leading home and lifestyle retailer, and launched their first Australian store in Melbourne in November 2013.  The Savino curved chest of drawers in copper (bottom left)  is inspired by a Dutch Bow front Commode, with copper cladding for a unique design.

The Weylandts store in Abbotsford is in a beautiful old building full of natural light. The Versailles bed with its beautifully carved mango wood and 100% linen fabric upholstery has been inspired by classic French design and was by far my favourite piece from Weylandts.

Weylandts1The chandelier is made from strands of natural wooden beads (main picture). This choice in material makes for greener living and a smaller carbon footprint and is available in White or Black in either Small or Large.

All too soon my afternoon out was coming to an end and I was ready to experience the most delicious food and coffee from the kitchen.  Weylandts menu varies depending on the seasons, the weather and the chef’s ideas of the day. Enjoy.
