Just before Christmas, I went to a beautiful and unique shop, called Paint Me White.  The shop is the realisation of a long held dream for owner Sandy.

Many of you may be familiar with Sandy and her blog called Paint Me White.  For many years we have watched her transform furniture with the power of paint.  As her business grew she opened a small stall in the Wooloongabba Antiques Centre.   Then she became the first official stockist of Annie Sloan paints in Australia.  Finally, she opened her store in Mudgeeraba on the Gold Coast where she sells her upcyled furniture, new and vintage homewares and offers classes and workshops using Annie Sloan paint.

Sandy would much rather buy a solid old piece of furniture and transform it with some paint and a little imagination.  She believes good old fashioned furniture will last a lifetime.  Her shop stocks a wide range of hooks and knobs that you can add to your furniture.

Sandy’s shop has a classic casual style of decor that instantly makes you feel relaxed.  Being a mixture of new and vintage pieces means the stock is always changing and there’s always something a bit different or unique.  I am always falling in love with the pieces she features on her instagram feed.
