Last month we shared a beautiful Botanical Powder Room in a Toowoomba home.  Today we are back to share the elegant gentleman’s study that owners Robyn and Tim have created.

Gentlemans Study

This study, used by Tim who runs Tim VanTricht Building, just oozes charm and sophistication.  It’s pretty but in an elegant and masculine way.

The black credenza which Tim built himself looks stunning against the black and white botanical wallpaper, whilst the rustic timber desk adds warmth and texture.

Robyn found the green leather chesterfield desk chair from Botticelli House.  It is old and worn and adds great character and a welcome pop of green to the room.

curiosity cabinet

On the black credenza is a little curiosity cupboard that Robyn found in a second hand store and painted black. The cabinet is filled with antique building tools and paraphernalia, fitting for a builder.

The credenza features a display of antiques and vintage items including a trumpet, and vintage cameras from Botticelli House.  The green urn and indoor plant compliment the desk chair and add some more green to the room.

vintage camera

By placing the camera under a glass cloche, Robyn has made a feature of it.  A simple but effective decorating trick.
