Summer’s nearly here, and as it gets warmer we do more of our living and entertaining outside. Outdoor cushions are a great way to brighten up your outdoor living space and enjoy some time outdoors.
At one end of my deck, I have a sitting area with two vintage cane chairs. I had seat cushions custom made by Adams All Style Upholstery, as nothing ready made would fit the chairs. The cushions are made from outdoor fabric. You can buy similar Riviera Stripe Cushions at Temple & Webster.
Outdoor Cushions
Outdoor fabric is especially designed to reduce fading and inhibit the growth of mould on the fabric. I leave my cushions out all year round and they get the full western sun every afternoon, and they have survived well. All I do is give them a clean from time to time. I use 1/4 cup of mild laundry detergent (or Vanish Oxyaction) in 1 gallon (3.8 litres) of lukewarm water (30C).
As much as I love my monochrome black and white deck, outdoor cushions are a great way to brighten up and add colour to your outdoor area. Here are some colourful cushions you might like:

I love all of the cushions you have shared. I bought some from Masters (of all places) last year and sadly they have molded 🙁 Any advice for ridding the mold?
Hi Nicole,
I have had mould on my cushions before but it came out using the water and Oxyaction solution. If that doesn’t work follow the instructions here:

I drape outdoor stripe material over our back outdoor lounge to protect it. I love bright cushions to add colour to the space too. Loving this flamingo cushions!
Thanks Bec – I love them too. Need a beach house!!!
Outdoor cushions are pretty indestructible so they’re kid friendly.
