The 2014 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show will be the 19th annual show to be held at the Carlton Gardens, 9 Nicholson St, Carlton.
The Royal Exhibition Building of which is now on the World Heritage List, is one of Australia’s most famous buildings. The Flower and Garden show is ranked among the top five flower shows in the world and attracts more than 110,000 visitors to the dozens of displays, landscape designs and magnificent floral arrangements produced by around 500 exhibitors.
This event is a showcase of the amazing creativity of Australia’s best gardeners and landscape designers, with the emphasis in this year’s show on the environment and sustainability and advice on gardening for the climate we live in. For example, saving water while still managing to grow your plants, shrubs and flowers.
Tickets for an adult are $27.00, a family ticket for two adults and two children is $55.00 and children under 5 are free.
This is one of my favourite places to visit and I look forward to attending each year.
