Ikea Hack to turn the Henriksal breakfast bar stool into a designer piece.
In this months Home Beautiful magazine there was a feature of a Brisbane based interior designer’s home. It is a lovely Queenslander home and beautifully decorated. In the article the designer confessed that the breakfast bar stools were actually from Ikea and she had custom slipcovers made for them, and boy do they look great.

The Henriksdal breakfast bar stool is available from Ikea, and is a budget-friendly $79 for the plain white cover. The blue cover is $80 and the natural cover will set you back $99.
To customise this bar stool and create your own designer piece, it’s simply a matter of painting or staining the legs to match your setting and choosing a fabric to make the cover.
All fabrics pictured are available online from Fabric Traders.
The slipcover is a fairly straight forward design and would be easy to sew using one of the bought covers as a pattern. If you’re not much of a sewer you could always take it to a workroom to have it sewn for you.

How many yards of fabric would I need to make new cover for the slipcover? Thanks!
Hi Angie,
I would allow 1 metre per chair. 1 yard = 90cm, so just over 1 yard each. You can get bar stool covers in many different fabrics from Benz here also

My coder is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But
he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on a number of websites for about a year and am
nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard
excellent things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all
my wordpress posts into it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
