The end of May already. How is your home decorating going? Have you added any new pieces to your home? Maybe you’ve brought out some of your winter decor. Here’s a glimpse into my home for the month of May.
I finally found a way to keep on top of my dark timber floors. You can read How to Care for Dark Timber Floors here.
I also shared the before tour of our ensuite. The builders are due to rip everything out today!
Here’s what DIY Decorator readers have been up to in May.
@annettenardini smashed it out of the park with this stunning photo. The chairs are a Gumtree find that she restored, and those stunning chinoiserie cushions were an Etsy find
How pretty is this little reading nook created by Jo @coastalhomelove ? Jo takes book toppers to a whole new level adding an orchid, shell and a stunning pink rose quartz.
Motherhood is agreeing with Katie from @plantation_house_ (formerly @canecutterscottage) Katie bought the oars from a boat shop and painted them herself. Her handy husband glued sisal rope around some cheap Target lamps to create this beautiful nautical nursery.
My friend @kirstenandco visited one of my favourite stores, Hamptons Style. The store always looks so good. I just want to sit on the sofa and read a book.
Ingrid from @indridand3 shows us why blue and beige is such a beautiful colour combination.
Finally, I had a laugh when I saw Teresa’s post from @myhousestylelove She was commenting that her tea cup matched the magazine. When you have a love of colour and interiors, you just notice those sorts of things, then post them on instagram!
I love seeing a glimpse inside your homes. Please share your latest decorating and DIY project using the hash tag #glimpseofmyhome.
