One of the simplest ways to add life to your home decor is to add simple flowers in bottles.  You don’t need lots of complicated and fancy flower arrangements – just a few single buds placed in some vintage or recycled bottles.

There’s something so simple and stylish as a few white buds in a bottle

Of course, they don’t have to be white.  Add some colour to your decor with colourful flower stems in a bottle.

Flowers in Bottles - From My Deck Medicine Bottles

It really wasn’t that hard.  A simple DIY project you could easily do yourself.  Hers’s the Before & After.

Flowers in Bottles - Before and AfterYou can see the full instructions on how to do this at From My Deck.  Use any old jars and bottles you can find.  Look for interesting shapes and sizes and simply soak them to remove the labels.  You can make your own vintage style labels for the bottles using free graphics available from sites such as The Graphics Fairy.

So for a quick and simple DIY project all you have to do is grab some old jars and bottles, and grab a simple bunch of flowers (or forage them) and you’ve got a quick decor fix.
