Add a little sparkle to your office desk with these pretty paperclips made with diamante buttons. It’s as simple as gluing a button onto a paperclip, but it adds some pretty to your workspace. These paperclips would make a great gift for a teacher or work colleague.
How to Make Pretty Paperclips
You Will Need:
Paperclips – I used plain silver ones from Kmart
Buttons – I used diamante buttons with a shank back
Step 1 Thread Button on Paperclip
Thread the shank of the button onto the paperclip. Move the button along the paperclip until it is at the top of the paperclip. Clip the paperclip onto some paper to make sure you have the button in the correct spot.
Step 2 – Glue Button
Using a hot glue gun, glue the button onto the paperclip making sure the glue comes into contact with both the paperclip and the shank of the button. Position the button exactly how you want it while the glue is still hot, then leave to set. If you don’t like the placement of the button, it’s easy to pick the glue off once it’s set and start again.
