Want to do something a little different with your Easter flowers this year? Sure you can make a floral table centrepiece, but how cute would it be to create individual Easter flowers in eggshells that you can place at each place setting?
That’s what I decided to do this year. I just saved my eggshells over the week, bought some flowers from the nursery, and potted them into the eggshells.
Choose small flowers that are not too high for the eggshells. I used:
- Viola – Johnny Jump In
- Vinca – Pink Poodles
- Petunia – Babby Dazzler
- Begonia – Green Leafed White
- Pansy – Blue
If you live in the northern hemisphere you could use Lily of the Valley or hyacinths.
You’ll also need an egg cup or something else to hold the eggshell upright. Then place an eggcup with the flower in it at each individual place setting.
Bunnies and chocolate eggs are always a welcome addition to an Easter table setting.

How adorable, I really love this idea for an Easter Table. xo
Thanks Yvette. I just love the little Lilly of the Valley ones I’ve seen on Pinterest. Unfortunately our Easter is in autumn so no spring flowers.
