Apartments can be notoriously dark (unless on the top floor), so if your looking to lighten up your space keep the walls  white to maximize the amount of light.

Add a vintage piece of furniture and a large rug, often the centerpiece of any Parisian apartment floor.  Hanging a chandelier above the dining table or in the living room is also the simplest way to introduce a bit of Parisian style into your home.
