I have long been a fan of Chalk Paint ™ by Annie Sloan. Since last March, when I first got my hands on some Chalk Paint™, I have made over many pieces of furniture.
This dresser went from mahogany stain to a combination of Old White and Napoleonic Blue
This pine bookcase got a makeover with my favourite colour – Pure White.
and this red pedestal table is now also pure white.
Along with sideboards, ladders, hooks and framing matts. You might say I have a bit of a Chalk Paint™ obsession.

My ultimate Chalk paint by Annie Sloan makeover project, would be to give my tired 20+ year old dark brown glass cabinet a French Provincial facelift. I am sure I will be bitten by the ‘Annie Sloan paint bug’ and end up renovating my 80 year old dining chairs, bedside cabinets – all currently brown wood.

I have enjoyed painting some drawers in my son’s room with the vibrant Napoleonic Blue. However my ultimate Chalk Paint project would be to find a pretty sideboard or dresser to use as an entertainment unit. I imagine it a bright white to lighten up the room. I am still searching for the perfect piece but that’s half the fun!

we were just married and I have inherited some sturdy old brown furniture.. but the two pieces I am really going to enjoy re-creating… would be the beautiful ball and claw curvy display cabinet.. (very necessary as my prince charming is quite the hoarder of little cluttery objects)… and my mid century side board cabinet..with leopard head drawer knobs..

I purchased a second hand Kitchen nook & it was a brown colour with blue padding & now almost done & looks more like a beach theme kitchen nook with bench seating with white wood & blue cushions, hope to finish in the next couple of weeks. My only problem is with this paint is I keep starting other projects at the same time & keep running out of paint lol I have started on my tv unit, done bedside tables & stools. Need to stick with one project until finished. Loving the duck egg blue too. This is very addictive!!

hi Kylie, I love the pine bookcase in pure white that you did’just a beautiful makeover but must have been a huge amount of coats. I am looking forward to painting my mother’s chest of drawers that I had as a little girl and now is in my daughter’s room. I have had it sitting for two years under cover outside after my mum died and i was looking for a spot for it and so it really needs a repaint!

We used to live in a 100-year old Queenslander so our furniture is rustic timber. In our new home it looks awful, and I'm busting to paint it all white. I particularly like the pure white you painted the red pedestal table in – exactly the look I want.
