We love the simplicity of the Modern Farmhouse Style.  Today we are looking at how to bring this modern neutral look to your own kitchen.

Furniture/Dining Table

Start with a timber farmhouse dining table and vintage industrial stools for your kitchen bench.  The classic farmhouse table will be the center of your kitchen and dining space.  The best thing about decorating with Modern Farmhouse Style is that you can mix new and vintage pieces together.    Add a vintage dresser with open shelves for storage and mix in some wicker chairs at either end of your dining table.

Choosing a classic barn light for your kitchen or a glass pendant light. Pendants are great in the kitchen or dining room.

We all need more storage in our kitchen.  I use plenty of wicker and seagrass baskets to store items in my pantry.  This is how I manage to keep my pantry in some order.

Natural Element

Fresh flowers or a green boxwood wreath with a fresh white background will finish off your modern farmhouse kitchen.  Herbs that are in season will also make a great display.  For the cooler months add lemons, limes or apples placed in a white bowl or added to your metal tiered stand.

That was so much fun.  I am really crushing on the Modern Farmhouse Style at the moment.  Share your style to instagram or facebook.  #diydecorator.
