Today’s room tour is of Imogen from Home Staging Brisbane’s beautiful contemporary bathroom in her Queenslander home in one of Brisbane’s acerage suburbs. When I first spotted a snippet of her bathroom renovation on instagram, I knew I had to feature it on DIY Decorator and share her wonderful style with you.
This bathroom is Imogen’s ensuite. Although the room is compact, Imogen has managed to create a contemporary bathroom whilst maintaining the charm of the pink stained casement windows that are original in her Queenslander home.
What to love about this shower – the amazing floor tiles with a concealed grate drain at the back, the double head shower rose, frameless open glass shower screen and a tiled niche in the wall for storing toiletries.
Imogen wanted a free standing bath, but there simply wasn’t enough room, so she compromised and installed a built-in bath where the vanity originally used to be.
The charcoal of the tiles and towels contrasts beautifully with the pink in the windows, which add a pop of colour to the room. Imogen said the heated towel rail was one of her little indulgences.
The baskets under the vanity are a great way to keep the open storage neat and organised.
Imogen was kind enough to share some of her sources with us:
The bathroom renovation was carried out by Brisbane Bathroom Renovations | The gorgeous patterned floor tiles are from The Tile Mob | The custom made vanity and Neu England Brodware tapware are from Bathroom Supplies | the wicker baskets are from Alfresco Emporium | wall sconces are from Fat Shack Vintage
Thank you Imogen for letting us feature your beautiful bathroom renovation. Imogen runs Home Staging Brisbane where she styles homes for sale so they can achieve the best possible price.
Thanks for sharing Kylie. You’ve taken beautiful photos and I know that’s difficult as the bathroom is on the small side. We lost hot water last week and water pressure this week (yes, during Winter) but now all fixed. On the plus side, I’ve learnt a lot about tempering valves!

We agree. The interior design is simply amazing. Black and wait looks elegant as well.
Adding home decors for bathroom would also make the interior look a lot nicer and classy.
You can check out home decors here that you could embelish your bathroom. home decors
What a beautiful bathroom… classic style and use of tapware and accessories that perfectly match the theme.
